Who We Are

I am Peter Kearney, My Food Garden founder. My passion for growing organic and biodynamic food has evolved from childhood and now over 50 years later, sharing my knowledge and wisdom of food growing are my focus. I cherish my family experiences in the food garden and eating our beautiful home grown food every day. It is lovingly prepared by my wife Vicki and transformed in creative ways. I have realised that connecting to the earth and the rhythms of nature in the food garden are essential to my well being and enable me to do my bit in transforming mother earth.

Since 2003 our business, My Food Garden has weaved a creative path in local food growing and now delivers a range of services to individuals who are backyard growers, hobby farmers, off-grid food growers, self-sufficiency gardeners and small scale urban farmers. Services include: educational workshops and webinars, coaching and biodynamic advisory services. Presentations and events are also provided to communities, local government and corporate’s on local food growing.

My Food Garden works with organic and biodynamic methods in its education and advisory services. Peter Kearney is a director of Biodynamic Agriculture Australia and presents regularly at international conferences on integrating biodynamic methods into urban agriculture

When I first saw Peter’s incredible biodynamic garden, it ignited a passion in me that took me back to my childhood. I was always in love with gardening and plants. Peter offered us some very helpful suggestions to look after our small acreage in the Wimmera in Victoria.
